When I pick the line up there is a brief pause and an automated voice asking me to hold onto the line then an operator comes on and makes sure that I am the person they want to speak to. They ask if I hold an account with XXXX and infrom me that I have an overdue balance. This is the second time I have recieved a call today. The first time I did not recognize the number but knew it was a debt collector from previous expereince.
I was prevoiusly behind on the account and recieved up to four phone calls a day from different numbers, with different area codes, throughout different times a daty.
While I take resposibilty for being late on payments the non stop phone calls are borderlineharrasment.

On XX/XX/XXXX I disputed my credit report which contained information being reported by Kay Jewelers.
I mailed a certified dispute letter to Kay Jewelers requesting validation of the account being reported by XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX.
I received a response on XX/XX/XXXX stating : " All account information and documentation was transferred to XXXX XXXX, XXXX and any questions or concerns regrading the account should be directed there '' Per the Fair Credit Reporting Act, Section 609 ( a ) ( 1 ) ( A ), Kay Jewelers, is required by federal law to verify through the physical verification of the original signed certified consumer contract of all accounts you request to be posted and or reported on a credit report. They have failed to do validate the account, due to lack of paperwork.
The Three credit bureaus have failed to protect me under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. After disputing this with all three as well, they continue to report on an account that ca n't be verified.
Kay Jewelers has violated my rights under Section 623 ( a ) ( 2 ) of the FCRA. This section addresses the duty to correct and update information by " furnishers, '' or persons who furnish information to consumer reporting agencies ( " CRA '' ) such as credit bureaus.

Kay Jewelers and I have had multiple interaction this year concerning a filing that is placed on my credit report by all 3 credit bureaus.
I repeatedly have requested account validation and the validation of the debt. Kay Jewelers has finally supplied me these documents attached to a response from CFPB complaint XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX.
Their response included ( 5 ) documents : 1. Credit Application Identifying Marks : Social Security Number and my physical signature. ( Identifying marks are accurate on this document. ) 2. Sales Slip Inquiry from a purchase made on XX/XX/XXXX 3. Sales receipt from a purchase made onXX/XX/XXXX.
Identifying Marks : My physical signature and name printed on sales receipt by retailer. ( Identifying mark is accurate on this document. ) 4. Sales Slip Inquiry from a purchase made on XX/XX/XXXX Identifying Marks : None Last Name : XXXX First Initial XXXX and Customer name stated as " XXXX XXXX. '' ( No identifying marks on this document that confirms that I made this purchase. ) 5. Sales Receipt from a purchase made on XX/XX/XXXX Identifying Marks : None Card Holder stated as XXXX, XXXX and the signature is a squiggly line.
( No identifying marks on this document that confirms that I made this purchase. ) In the companies response they stated the account they are reporting on had two purchases made. The first purchase was placed on XX/XX/XXXX and was paid off on XX/XX/XXXX. The company has provided a detailed receipt with my signature printed on it. I do not dispute this purchase.
The company states that I made an additional purchase a year and a half later on XX/XX/XXXX. I do n't have knowledge of this purchase and do n't recall this transaction. Kay Jewelers had provided " Sales Slip Inquiry '' as proof of this purchase. The receipt for this is a generated receipt and has a squiggly line as a signature. This purchase has been reported negatively to the credit bureaus.
This purchase is being reported without Kay Jewelers being able to validate or verify due to lack of identification on the receipt. The sales receipt have zero identify marks such as my name or signature. This definitely does n't match the information supplied on my credit application and the purchase made on XX/XX/XXXX.
I have no knowledge of this purchase being reported and feel I may be the victim of identity theft.
Kay Jeweler has violated the Fair Credit Reporting Act by failing to re-investigate this dispute as stated in a Fair Credit Reporting Act. They have unfairly investigated this as a bad debt instead of a potentially Identity Theft issue. The last purchase does n't have my complete name on any document and lacks a signature.
Even though Kay Jewelers is unable to verify this debt, they continue to report it to the bureaus. Not only do they report this debt, but have sold unverifiable debt to a collection agency.
Per the Fair Credit Reporting Act, Section 609 ( a ) ( 1 ) ( A ), Kay Jewelers is required by federal law to verify through the physical verification of the original signed certified consumer contract of all accounts I request to be posted and or reported on a credit report.
Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act unverified, invalid accounts must be removed. Kay Jewelers has failed to comply with Fair Credit Reporting Act.

XXXX XXXX reported a charged off account to the credit bureaus in the amount of {$300.00}. I do not recognize this debt as my debt. As an XXXX XXXX servicemember in the XXXX XXXX, I have access to military financial counselors to assist in financial matters. Steps I have taken to resolve this issue are as follows : ( 1 ) On XX/XX/2018 I met with a military financial counselor regarding this XXXX XXXX account.
( 2 ) OnXX/XX/2018, together with the financial counselor, I called XXXX XXXX and asked about this alleged debt. The representative at XXXX XXXX was unable to locate an account under my name and social security number. He suggested that the account might be with either : ( a ) XXXX XXXX at XXXX or ( b ) XXXX at XXXX.
( 3 ) On XX/XX/2018, together with the financial counselor, I called XXXX XXXX at XXXX and they could not find an account under my name and social security number.
( 4 ) On XX/XX/2018, together with the financial counselor, I called XXXX at XXXX and they could not find an account under my name and social security number. The XXXX representative spent considerable time trying to locate an account yet was unable to find an account.
( 5 ) I completed a dispute request with XXXX regarding XXXX XXXX ( document 5 attached ) and mailed it to XXXX.
( 6 ) XXXX mailed a response to my dispute on XX/XX/2018. It stated that there are no accounts from XXXX and XXXX on my credit report and listed XXXX XXXX as contact information for this dispute. ( document 6 attached ).
( 7 ) XXXX XXXX response dated XX/XX/2018 also reports that the XXXX XXXX as " account transferred or sold ''. It states that the account was " sold to '' " XXXX ''. ( document 7 attached ).
How can XXXX XXXX sell an account that it couldn't locate? I have never heard of XXXX before. Three documents are attached verifying the above.

Sterling Jewelers / XXXX XXXX provide a Credit Card option. Once you receive you card you are able to sign up for paperless billing statements delivered to your email. This service is provided by all of my credit card companies which I opt in to allow me to manage my payments and credit line accounts as I am certain that many folks do. Sterling Jewlers however continues to fail to send the e-statements yet are able to send multiple ( up to 5 per week ) sales promotional emails. It would be interesting to see if this is a common practice by the company to bilk consumers of money by assessing late fees or if they actually believe they are sending the e-statements yet have a system flaw which could have an adverse experience to someones credit file.
