Complaint What Happened To whom It may concern, I am writing to file a formal complaint against Toyota Financial and XXXX XXXX Dealership. In XXXX 2015 my family and I were the victims of predatory lending. We went to XXXX XXXX to find a family sized vehicle and unfortunately were told we had some negative equity that would make it nearly impossible to finance a vehicle. The salesman and sales manager insisted that if we went through their bank " Toyota Financial '' no matter the amount of negative equity, they would be able to push it through and make the deal work. At the time we were very vulnerable and the salespeople and managers at XXXX XXXX saw that and immediately took advantage of a young family and our situation. Since we leased the vehicle in XXXX 2015 we have been under a severe amount of stress trying to make the XXXX XXXX car payment each month. We have been late a few times but try our hardest not to be since we do want to maintain our decent credit. On XXXX separate occasions I contacted Toyota Financial AND XXXX XXXX to explain to them that I could no longer afford the vehicle. Toyota Financial explained to me that my only option would be to find someone that could take over the lease. This would be impossible to do considering the monthly payment. When I spoke with the dealership directly they were very frank, rude and defensive and told me if I brought the car back it would be marked on our credit as a repossession. I am writing you in one very last desperate attempt to get help as I have exhausted all other options. My family and I are victims of a monster sized companies Toyota Financial and XXXX XXXX preying on vulnerable families. I know for a fact we were victims of the following : Predatory Lending Over Excessive charges and Fees And a violation of the Truth and Lending Act I have gone to both parties and expressed my inability to continue to pay the high car payment each month and they have not given me any reasonable options. As a result of their refusal to help me I have no other choice but to file this formal complaint with you.

Complaint What Happened XX/XX/XXXX24 acquired XXXX XXXX XXXX from XXXX of XXXX KY and commenced loan with Toyota Financial Services. XXXX days later returned to dealership with a rattling dashboard. Returned two more times as they said they could not replicate noise. They ordered another suv. Picked it up XX/XX/XXXX2024 and was told a new credit application and loan was necessary. I refused and they refused me the suv. I asked why they did not rebook the loan. They did not answer. I complied under duress as I had no other form of transportation. My score dropped from XXXX to XXXX and I have XXXX auto loans on my credit bureau reports. They also raised my APR 50 basis points. They stated that they adjusted the principal to match the original payment. Yesterday they refused to correct my FICO score and credit bureau reports. A technician said they did same to another customer.

Complaint What Happened On XX/XX/XXXX I paid my property taxes on my XXXX XXXX XXXX county clerk. I mailed and also faxed documentation to XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. They have received the documentation and noted my account and assured me it would take 24-48 hours to update on my account. On XX/XX/XXXX Toyota received a check from XXXX XXXX out of XXXX, Ky for my property taxes Toyota indeed cashed the check, check # XXXX in the amount of {$28000.00} it cleared on XX/XX/XXXX. Toyota has still NOT updated my account, my account is still showing I owe property taxes {$360.00}. 2 months have been dealing with this talked to different agents almost everyday, Im not getting anywhere everyone I talk to tells me different information. I need this resolved ASAP!!!!

Complaint What Happened When I got a new lease of a new car from XXXX XXXX of XXXX in Spring of 2015, I was offered floor mats for a fee of {$100.00}. I declined. At the conclusion of my lease of a XXXX XXXX XXXX, I was presented with end of lease fees. Included in those fees were ( 4 ) {$35.00} charges, totaling {$140.00}, for missing floor mats. I have tried repeatedly to address this with TFS ( Toyota Financial Services ), the dealership, and the Toyota Customer Experience Team. My case # with the Customer Experience team is XXXX. The agent I have worked the most closely with on this team, named XXXX, told me over the phone in XXXX that the dealership admitted to her that they did not include floor mats in my lease. The dealership has promised me ( in early XXXX ), and XXXX, in late XXXX, that they would pay the {$140.00} fee directly to TFS, since TFS is demanding payment, despite my not having received these floor mats at any point during the lease. Despite their admission, and promises, the dealership has not remitted payment to TFS in the amount or {$140.00}, nor any amount. TFS claims the dealership contacted them on XX/XX/XXXX to do " research. '' The customer experience agent XXXX claims the dealership has promised to call her back to resolve TWICE, with no call actually made. I am getting nothing but the run around and lies from the dealership, and the Customer Experience team is no longer being helpful ( three times they have promised to follow up with me only to never call ). Of course I should not owe money for a product I never received, and Toyota needs to figure this out internally.

Complaint What Happened On XX/XX/XXXX I purchased a new XXXX XXXX XXXX. The financing was done through Toyota Motor Credit Corporation. The original balance was {$28000.00}. ( 1 ) As an XXXX XXXX service member with the XXXX XXXX from XXXX to present, I have had two PCS moves since purchasing this vehicle. This includes an assignment in XXXX from XXXX to XXXX. ( 2 ) As a result of my XXXX beautiful children being born and PCS moves, my expenses were much higher than anticipated and I had trouble paying the car loan. We still have the vehicle in our possession. ( 3 ) Several months ago, my wife called Toyota and tried to re-establish a payment plan on this vehicle. The representative at Toyota said we could send a payment ( s ) but there is no guarantee that Toyota would accept the payment ( s ). ( 4 ) A few weeks ago, I met with military financial counselors who made me aware of a {$21.00} XXXX settlement on overcharges to certain minority buyers from XXXX to XXXX. I am a minority buyer and was never notified of this matter, although I was also stationed in XXXX during the deadline. I question whether I qualify for benefits from this settlement since I am a minority. ( 5 ) As of today, XXXX XXXX, XXXX, there is a {$9100.00} " charge-off '' reported with the credit reporting bureaus. ( 6 ) Today, our military financial counselor, and I called Toyota Motor Credit at XXXX and spoke with representative XXXX around XXXX XXXX Central time. We asked about establishing a payment plan and she told us that she is not able to establish a payment plan as Toyota will be placing this account with a business partner. When I asked " who '' the business partner will be, she said it could be one of several. She said that " business partner '' will contact me for payment options and that it could take up to 30 days. ( 7 ) This is now the second time we have not been able to establish a payment plan. I'm concerned about my credit and reputation as I have not been able to establish a payment plan or reduced lump sum settlement.
