We where in a modification with Nation Star Mortage. We had last trial payment due. When the payment was processed We discovered that someone had stole our identity on our accounts and filed Tax returns for 2016. I explained to Nation Star about this and sent a letter of explanation. I did n't want a modification but for them to reinstate the loan moving forward. We have placed fraud alerts on our accounts and are trying to get this back in track. We have equity in our home. So the loan to lend ratio is solid. I am just asking to reset and move forward this was never an issue with making payments on the mortga ge. Four payments w ere made prior to this identity fraud.

During the course of my mortgage, there have been several occasions where I have fallen behind on my payments. Each of these times, the mortgage company offers to assist with the problem BUT they have repeatedly tacked on charges in the amount of {$5000.00} or more saying it is legal fees incurred by them for starting the foreclosure process? My mortgage has gone from the original {$90000.00} up to around {$150000.00}. How can they do this? I have been amiss in doing anything about this because I have felt like I was at their mercy and because I HAD TO HAVE a home to live in. Can you help in any way?

We have been working on a mortgage with Greenlight Loans since XXXX XXXX. This is a XXXX family 30 year fixed conventional mortgage. We have good credit, were pre approved ( with a promise to close within 30 days ), and can satisfy debt-to-income requirements. The house was appraised and we received conditional approval within 15 days. The condition responses were returned the next day and there has been no forward movement since then. We did have a hiccup with the seller not having the pool ready for the appraiser, but that was completed and the appraiser report was sent to Greenlight on XXXX XXXX. Every time I follow up to see what the status is, the closing coordinator indicates something is being cleared in underwriting and we " should close next week ''. I have been hearing this every week for four weeks now. I always have to ask for a status, they are not proactive in updating me at all - I believe the file is sitting on someone 's desk until prompted to work on it. They had not asked me for XXXX additional piece of information, just keep delaying the final steps. Then last Thursday, they have a list of information they need for underwriting, which I completely understand they need to update their file. It was simple stuff and was returned within XXXX minutes. But, how could the closing coordinator be promising to close when the XXXX file was not even complete or up to date? Today, their response is " being cleared by underwriting for funding and this will be done in about an hour '' - that was XXXX hours ago. The sale of our house is closing Friday and we are going to be homeless if we do n't get this closed. Further, this is not just affecting my family. The sellers and our realtors are all impacted. I honestly believe that the closing coordinator does not know what she is doing and has no training or guidance. I also do n't think anyone at the company cares. My husband filed a complaint on their website and I have also called their Consumer Affairs Department with no response.

Our mortgage is current. We make our monthly payments every month, on time or early every single month. NationStar continues to keep not applying our payments despite taking our money every month. Every time that we call them we are transferred and transferred and they keep telling us that theyre working on it, but there is no resolution. We are getting serious default letters when we are making our monthly payments every month. We are at risk of foreclosure come XXXX XXXX, even though Nationstar has been accepting our full monthly payment every month.

I have submitted a package as requested prior to the seven day cutoff to review my loan for modification to Nationstar. They have confirmed receipt of the package and can only tell me that my loan is in review with the underwriter but have not placed a hold on the sale date of XXXX. I asked when I should expect the file be reviewed and they stated " within 30 days '' per XXXX ID # : XXXX.
This is after my sale date that is scheduled. How am I supposed to plan for my future and living arrangements if I can not get a review done in a reasonable time frame?

Nationstar ( dba.MR COOPER ) added an escrow account to my mortgage payment and reported it 30 days late in XX/XX/XXXX. They acknowledged this was done in error and failed to correct my credit to positive status for over 7 months. They also reported my account 30 days past due for XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX andXX/XX/XXXX, even while accepting my payments and providing written documentation that the negative reporting was their error. They also provided written documentation that the account was never late and should have been updated with the credit agencies. As of XX/XX/XXXX, my credit score is still under 650 because of the late payments reported over the last 7 months and I have documentation of 11 attempts to correct this via email, mail and phone calls. I have also hired a lawyer to work on my behalf. I have suffered severe financial loss due to these errors and the length of time that my credit score has been damaged. There is no explanation for the 7 months of delays is correcting the errors in my credit reporting and I would like the CFPB to investigate this case and hold Nationstar responsible for it's gross negligence. I hope this case will be used as an example of how mortgage services can destroy innocent victims credit and cause innumerable levels of stress and financial damage. There needs to be better credit correction oversight of mortgage services in the future to prevent this from happening again.

Since XX/XX/XXXX I had my FHA mortgage with XXXX XXXX XXXX. In the middle of XX/XX/XXXX, whilst I was in the middle of a VA mortgage refinance with XXXX XXXX, unbeknownst to me XXXX XXXX XXXX, transferred my loan to Nation Star effective XX/XX/XXXX. XXXX XXXX paid off Nation Star on XX/XX/XXXX, before my first mortgage payment with them was due. However Nation Star has not refunded the balance in my escrow account and said that on XX/XX/XXXX they sent this money to XXXX XXXX XXXX to pay a Corporate Advance for an appraisal & I needed to call them. XXXX XXXX XXXX has told me they did not require any money, they did not request any money and they have not received any money ; that my loan was paid in full. I have spoken to at least XXXX different Nation Star Customer Service Agents and XXXX people in their Escrow Department and no one can tell me where my money is and why it has not been refunded.

Aurora Loan Services has ruined my life. I have never been able to recover financially after they foreclosed on my property. Like many Americans, I lost my job in XX/XX/XXXX and had no income coming in. I tried working out many options with Aurora Loans. However their reps told me that I would never qualify for any of their programs because I had no job. They advised that I enroll in their forbearance program in order to give me time to get a job and keep my house. I was unaware that the money I was going to pay was not being applied to my interest only mortgage. One a representative told me that they were holding my money I backed out of the account. They were setting me up for foreclosure and not applying any of my money. They began charging a Preservation Fee and various other bogus fees were added. They called me non stop. One representative told me that if I was in Bankruptcy that they could n't foreclose. So I lowed their advise, I filed Bankruptcy just to prevent a foreclosure. As soon as the BK was discharged they demanded money and began foreclosure. They would never tell me where money was applied or how it was held. I filed a complaint with the XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX because I did n't know what to do. That did n't help. I plan to provide documentation to show their unfair collection practices and how they did not apply my money when it was sent in. I have XXXX different Account History printouts from the with the same dates and they do not match. Aurora Loan Services set me up and took my all money. Once I paid them their demands, all money was applied to interest. I will provide a copy of the check I sent and you will see that it does n't even show on my account history. I want some justice. I have been done wrong.

My mortgage was originally with XXXX and was eventually taken over by XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX XXXX would allow me to cancel my PMI and not charge me for an appraisal when the loan to value qualified to remove the PMI. Nationstar bought my mortgage without my approval and they are requiring I may {$450.00} for an appraisal to remove the PMI. I think this is a racket and should be illegal to change the terms of the servicing of my loan!

My mortgage is currently serviced by Nation Star. My regular monthly payments are {$500.00} per month and Nation Star has imposed {$530.00}, {$530.00} and {$530.00} monthly charges over the last 60 months ( see attached ). Nation Star claims that the increase in the overall escrow is due to an increase in taxes. However, my taxes were reduced from {$860.00} to {$510.00} per month, due to Kentucky Homestead law. My P & I is {$450.00} per month and since my taxes equal {$43.00} per month, therefore my monthly payment should equal {$490.00} per month. Overall, have been overcharged {$34.00} for a sixty month period, which equals a total amount of {$2000.00} overcharged. On XX/XX/2016 Nation Star demanded payment of {$920.00}, even though I have made all of my payments timely each month. Nation Star advised that these funds needed to be paid in order to avoid foreclosure. Nation Star has refused to prove up the math behind the alleged delinquent amounts. The statements that they have issued have not matched the oral amounts listed. Both CFPB mortgage servicing laws and RESPA law require that transparency within accounting be present during mortgage servicing. Nation Star is in violation of both CFPB and RESPA law. Overall, I feel cheated and deceived by Nation Star and I am seeking your assistance on this matter.

In XXXX XX/XX/2012, my mortgage was with XXXX XXXX XXXX and they sent a letter stating I neededto raise my flood insurance coverage. This caused a hardship and I found out from a mortgage company that because of the wording in my mortgage they could not raise this coverage. They would not listen to me when I spoke with them so in XXXX XX/XX/2012 I opened a claim with the CFPB - case # XXXX. With your help the issue was resolved and it was determined I did not need to raise my flood coverage. XXXX sold the servicing of my loan to Nationstar Mortgage. I have received another letter almost identical to the XXXX from my XXXX claim stating I need to raise my flood coverage. I have documentation to provide and am asking for you to once again review their request to determine its validity.

As of XXXX/XXXX/XXXX, our mortgage was transferred to XXXX XXXX. This complaint is related to our former mortgage company, Mr. Cooper ( formerly known as Nationstar ). Mr. Cooper failed to pay XXXX property taxes for one of the two lots listed on our deed, and this error on their part has resulted in a local attorney purchasing a " certificate of delinquency '' on the lot with the unpaid taxes, giving the attorney a lien on the property. There are two " lots '' on the deed -- The main lot ( where the house sits ), and a side lot about 8 feet in width ( where a portion of the driveway and fence sit ). Although both lots are on the deed, we get property tax statements for each lot. Our initial mortgage company, XXXX XXXX, paid the property taxes for both lots without issue each year. Our mortgage was transferred to Mr. Cooper in XXXX, and Mr. Cooper failed to pay the property taxes on the 8-foot wide side lot ( approximately {$5.00} in taxes ), which allowed an attorney to pay the taxes and a " certificate of delinquency. '' We were notified in XXXX of XXXX via a letter from the attorney that she held the certificate of delinquency, and that we were to pay her more than {$400.00} to settle fees and debts. We immediately contacted Mr. Cooper representatives, and spoke to multiple supervisors to explain the situation. These supervisors contacted our local county attorney, investigated the issue, and admitted to us that Mr. Cooper erred in failing to pay the taxes on both lots, since both lots are listed on the deed. Mr. Cooper assured us that the debts and fees owed to the attorney would be paid with Mr. Cooper 's funds ( as opposed to ours, since the original tax responsibility was less than {$5.00} ). Fast forward to XXXX of XXXX, and we get another letter from the same attorney telling us that she still holds a lien on the property, and that the debts and fees we accrued from Mr. Cooper 's failure to pay the XXXX taxes remain outstanding. We immediately called Mr. Cooper again, spoke to another supervisor, and were told that the error was n't fixed in XXXX because the representative only initiated an " account investigation '' instead of an " account correction. '' We urged this supervisor to settle the matter quickly, because our loan was being transferred to XXXX XXXX on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX. Today, the matter remains unsettled. We called Mr. Cooper today ( XXXX/XXXX/XXXX ), and the same supervisor we spoke with in XXXX explained to us that the issue was investigated, that Mr. Cooper recognized their error, and that they were scheduled to pay the debts and fees to the attorney on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX, but could n't because our mortgage was transferred to XXXX XXXX ( which they obviously knew, and we clearly told them was our fear ). The Mr. Cooper representative said they have nothing to do with the mortgage now, and that we should contact XXXX XXXX to request they pay the money for Mr. Cooper 's mistake ( which I 'm sure XXXX XXXX will love and rush to do ).
So, long story short ... Mr. Cooper failed to pay our full property taxes. An attorney took advantage of the situation and purchased the rights to a piece of our land, and then proceeded to charge us more than {$400.00} what was originally less than {$5.00} in property taxes. Then, despite several phone calls in XXXX and XXXX of XXXX, each resulting in a supervisor acknowledging Mr. Cooper 's error and assuring us the matter would be settled at no cost to us, Mr. Cooper did nothing. Then, our loan is transferred to XXXX XXXX, and Mr. Cooper tells us to ask XXXX XXXX to pay for their mistake. And, to top it all off, our local sheriff left a note on our door to contact them regarding a legal matter we think is related to this issue.

Tried to get loan modification ..Nationstar mortgage kept losing my faxed documents.2 and a have years later, they send me paperwork.My new payment amount {$290.00} and change. then a letter with different amount. I also signed up for auto withdraw.I told them no withgraw on XX/XX/XXXX as per agreement. They sent letter to remind me I now had to send {$370.00} in check by XX/XX/XXXX. I waited till XX/XX/XXXX to make sure no autowithdraw. there was none I sent check, two days later they withdrew money. I had to cancell check. {$30.00}. In short every thing they have told me about has been a lie.I did sign the loan w/this company anyway, they ( bought ) my loan. please help..

I have repeatedly requested information from Nationstar regarding their alleged right to service my mortgage. I have sent numerous validation requests, QWR 's, as well as letters to the CEO regarding the inconsistent, misleading, and disturbing information I have received from Nationstar. I have several documents from Nationstar with claims that they are servicing this mortgage for different entities at the same time. As a consumer, I have the right to make sure that I am paying the correct entity who has the right to collect. I have made numerous phone calls to Nationstar and each time I receive different information. It is no secret that there is rampant mortgage fraud going on in this country and I am trying to protect my family becoming victims to this fraud. Nationstar has also charged my family monthly for inspections that were never done. They refuse to correct or explain why we were charged for inspections. My latest request for information was sent to Nationstar CEO XXXX XXXX hoping that he could shed some light on the misinformation coming from his company. During calls to Nationstar they mislead consumers as to whether they are a debt collector or not. After repeated questioning about why they state " At times Nationstar may act as a debt collector '', they reluctantly indulge that they are a debt collector. This is very misleading to consumers.
