Complaint What Happened I am a student, it would make sense to defer my payment while I am in school. The only so-called deferment offered to me involves " interest only payments '' based on the interest bills provided monthly. Payments received during the deferment period will be applied to accrued and outstanding interest and then to my principal balance. I used to pay around 700 $ monthly before deferment. In my first three month of deferment from XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX, I have paid roughly 550 , 500 , 730 , and 420 $ respectively on XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, and XX/XX/XXXX! THEY CALL THIS A DEFERMENT? This is a total rip-off! I need to resubmit all the paperwork every three months because there are no options to submit my documents for an entire academic year and I lost the chance to do so in XXXX because the school was closed from XXXX XXXX. I submitted a second application in XXXX XXXX which was approved on XX/XX/XXXX. Being more cautious and proactive, I made a call asking if I am gon na need to make an interest payment by the XXXX XXXX XXXX informing them that my account shows " zero '' due amount. I was told they are calculating my interest amount and that most likely I would not need to make a payment and if I do they will notify me within a reasonable amount of time in advance ... and I get a message on XX/XX/XXXX that I need to make a XXXX $ payment on XX/XX/XXXX. They do not even have the decency to notify you in time. This is the best example of a terrible customer service. I am spending more time worrying and handling my student loan that focusing on studying. Had I known they are so defective, I would have never signed up for their services. I will look into changing servicer.

Complaint What Happened Someone set up a fake line of credit with SOFI Lending Corp. That person hacked my checking account with XXXX Bank XXXX I saw the fraudulent charges and notified XXXX. They reimbursed my account but fraudulent charges kept happening so I had XXXX close my account. I then discovered that my credit report was damaged. I contacted SOFI and filed a fraud complaint with them. They told me they determined it was fraudulent. I have since sent them all the info they requested so my credit could be cleared up including a police report, copy of my drivers license, etc. SOFI has not cleared up my credit yet. I have checked with the major credit reporting companies. I need help correcting the problem that SOFI caused by allowing someone other then me to take out an account under my identity. SOFI shows a past due on my credit report of over {$20000.00}.

Complaint What Happened On XX/XX/2022, I received an email notice stating a bonus of {$590.00} will be received when a personal loan of {$5000.00} or more is taken out. I applied on XX/XX/2022 and was subsequently approved on XX/XX/2022 for the {$5000.00} personal loan. On XX/XX/2022, a chat ticket was opened to confirm the {$590.00} would be paid out as described in the email marketing. On XX/XX/2022, a message was sent saying the bonus would not be paid as SoFi has determined I was not eligible. The instructions were followed and the loan was funded, yet I was somehow not eligible des pite receiving the marketing email.
